Mr. Woodward is a member of the Investment Committee and is responsible for all operations including property management, marketing, training, human resources, information technology and construction. Mr. Woodward joined Laramar after seven years with Archstone Communities, most recently as Senior Vice President, one of the largest and most highly regarded firms in the apartment industry. At Archstone, Mr. Woodward had many responsibilities including managing operations for the Western Region and managing Archstone's new venture group, which funded and launched real estate related start-up companies. Prior to Archstone, Mr. Woodward was an Asset Manager with USF&G Insurance and oversaw a $1 billion real estate portfolio consisting of apartments, office, industrial and land. In addition, Mr. Woodward is on the Board of Directors of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC), is a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO), and is a regular speaker at apartment industry events. In 2007, Mr. Woodward was named Multifamily Executive of the Year by Multifamily Executive magazine, one of the apartment industry's primary trade publications. Mr. Woodward has a B.S. degree in Business Administration with emphasis in finance and real estate from U.C. Berkeley's Haas School of Business.
